The mission of the Office of International Student Services (OISS) is to actively promote international and intercultural understanding and to cultivate a mutual commitment and support for international education throughout the campus community.
Housing services
Once you have your student visa, quickly secure your living arrangements in Little Rock. You can choose to live either in campus housing or in an off-campus apartment. You can also request temporary housing for a few days if needed. Once you’re settled in, we’ll give you a list of living essentials for your dorm room or apartment.
UALR offers a variety of housing options to meet the needs of the diverse student body. Apply for housing through the Office of Student Housing.Library services
Ottenheimer Library collects, organizes, and provides access to information resources and library services that enrich and support the University’s research and teaching mission, foster intellectual development, and promote academic excellence.
ICT services
With over a billion users around the world, its hard to find someone in the business world who isnt familiar with Microsoft Office. While the standard Office desktop software is nothing new, Microsoft has recently come out with Office 365, an online version of its Office applications that make file sharing and collaboration a breeze.

Campus life
Welcome to the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Our campus is where students gather to learn, study, play, and interact. Stretching over 250 tree-covered acres in Little Rock’s midtown area, the main campus is home to more than 50 buildings, including many with LEED designations for their energy efficiency.
The purpose of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock’s Campus Recreation is to provide opportunities for a diversified population to recreate, exercise, and socialize through variety of programs. Campus Recreation help stimulate student learning and development as well as enhance the quality of life for the students, faculty, and staff.
Sports facilities
Fitness & Wellness Classes– Offers approximately thirty (30) group exercise classes, personal programming, personal training, incentive programs, personal assessments, and CPR/First Aid classes during the academic year.
Intramural Sports – Offers approximately fifteen (15) individual and/or team sports during the academic year.
Outdoor Adventures– Offers students the opportunity to experience the outdoors through the rental of camping equipment.
Special Events– Offers opportunities for leisure, education, socialization, fitness, and fun through a variety of alternative events.Student clubs
The vice chancellor of student affairs is responsible for student life on campus and has delegated the responsibility for coordinating and implementing non-academic university policies and regulations affecting student life, student organizations, and student activities to various offices. Student organizations are responsible and governed by the University of Arkansas at Little Rock Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities, and Behavior (Code).
Accreditation
UA Little Rock Rock was recently reaffirmed for accreditation on the Open Pathway by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). HLC is a regional accrediting organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
