Known familiarly as “Sewanee” by its students,_x000D_
faculty, staff and friends, The University of the South offers an unmatched_x000D_
educational experience. The university remains purposefully small and dedicated_x000D_
to building a sense of community.
Services
Student services
- Today, the Order works parallel with the Student Government to voice student opinion. It is also uniquely charged with the maintenance and promotion of the spirit, traditions, and ideals of the University. In addition, the OG runs the Election Committee, which is composed of all Proctors and is chaired by the President of the Order.
- The Student Government shall provide an opportunity for students to engage actively with and enact change within the University of the South. Furthermore, the Student Government shall be responsible for continuously engaging the student body in conversations concerning the activities of the University.

- The Domain: 13,000 acres of forests, bluffs, meadows, lakes, and caves is a significant research and recreational resource for students and faculty.
- The Sewanee Outing Program (SOP) gives students the chance to explore Sewanee’s Domain, our 13,000-acre campus, the surrounding region, and wilderness areas across the United States. Trips include hiking, biking, canoeing, climbing, swimming, caving ... and that's just on the Domain!
- Spirituality, faith, religion, and community are vibrant aspects of life on the Domain. We invite you to bring your own faith, ask questions, and be part of our community.
