Student services
The mission of the Graduate and Professional Student Association (GPSA) is to serve the collective interests of graduate and professional students at UCSF in order to improve student life on a university and system wide level through dialogue, action, and activities between students, faculty, and staff.
Housing services
Student accommodations are determined on a case by case basis, depending on the student's specific needs and disability. We will never blanket deny or approve accommodations based on previous cases/students.
Although accommodation needs vary between individuals, there are some common accommodations for students with disabilities. Where appropriate these may include, but are not limited to:
- Academic support services (e.g. notetaking assistance, recording, campus resources)
- Extended time for exams and assessments
- Alternate format reading & course materials (electronic, braille, large-print)
- Assistive technology (software, hardware, high and low-tech)
- Adaptive equipment
- Reduced course load
- Alteration of exam format

Accreditation
The Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) is the regional organization that is responsible for the accreditation of public and private universities and colleges in California, Hawaii and the Pacific Basin.
- WASC provides the accreditation for UCSF as a whole and for the Graduate Division in particular.
