Student services
If you have questions regarding the subjects offered, admission requirements or description details, please contact the Student Counseling Service or the Student Office. If you need software or hardware support, contact our Information Technology Center. Nuremberg Tech's University Family Services can assist you in pursuing a degree and balancing work and family.
Housing services
All exchange/program students of the Nuremberg Institute of Technology can be allocated a room in one of the student residence halls for the period of their stays (max. 2 semesters). These halls are administered by the student services (Studentenwerk) Nuremberg-Erlangen. The rental terms and conditions are mentioned in the special tenancy (SOK). Exchange students can only apply for a room in the student residence halls if they accept all the terms and conditions mentioned in the SOK. Library services
The Library of the Nuremberg Tech divides into three locations and subject areas, respectively the Central Library for Engineering, Architecture and Design, the Departmental Library for Business and Social Studies and the Reference Library for Computer Science and other locations.
To borrow books a valid ohmcard or library card is needed.
ICT services
Most of the university's IT services are only available to university members and can therefore only be used within the university network. If you are outside the campus and want to use the IT services, you must first connect to the university network via VPN. To do this, you have to install the VPN client once on your PC / mobile device. Instructions can be found on the data center website.
