I was very impressed with the orientation once we all arrived in Sydney. This first week was a highlight for many people. We learned a lot about Australia in general, academics in a different country and lots of other helpful things. We were given a walking tour around the city which was a great help in figuring out where everything was located. All of the activities planned this week, abseiling in the Blue Mountains, wildlife park trip, etc. were key in getting to know new people in the program. The friends I made during orientation were pretty much the main group of friends that I kept the entire semester.
