The San Jose State University (SJSU) articulation agreement outlines the requirements for students transferring from San Jose City College to SJSU. The agreement is designed to facilitate a smooth transition for students and ensure that they are well-prepared for their chosen major.


BS - Engineering Technology

The BS in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Manufacturing Systems is a comprehensive program that prepares students for careers in engineering technology. The program requires students to complete a series of lower division courses prior to transferring to SJSU.


Lower Division Course Requirements

The following courses are required for the BS in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Manufacturing Systems:

Important Transfer Information

Admission to SJSU is competitive, and students are encouraged to complete as many of the lower division requirements as possible prior to transferring. Students must earn at least 60 transferable semester units, including the CSU four basic skill courses required for CSU admission eligibility.

To transfer to SJSU, students must:
