Program Overview
Admission into the MSAE Program
To be admitted to the MSAE Program, a student must first be admitted to the university.
Admission Criteria
Students with a BSAE degree from a US ABET accredited institution and a GPA greater than 3.0 are normally admitted as Classified.
- Students with a BSAE degree and GPA less than 3.0 may be admitted Conditionally.
- The condition of their admission into the MSAE Program is that they will take two AE courses, selected in consultation with the AE Graduate Coordinator, and earn a grade of B or better in each.
- Students with a degree other than BSAE may be admitted Conditionally.
- The condition of their admission into the MSAE Program is that they will take the following BSAE core courses:
- AE 114 - Aerospace Structural Analysis II
- AE 138 - Vector-Based Dynamics for Aerospace Applications
- AE 160 - Aerodynamics I
- AE 162 - Aerodynamics II
- AE 164 - Aerothermodynamics
- AE 167 - Aerospace Propulsion
- AE 168 - Aerospace Vehicle Dynamics & Control
- If necessary, conditionally admitted students must also take any prerequisites for these courses.
- Students who have taken equivalent courses as part of their undergraduate degree may be waived the requirement for one or more of these courses.
- The condition of their admission into the MSAE Program is that they will take the following BSAE core courses:
