Program Overview

Introduction to the Aviation and Technology Program

The Aviation and Technology program at San José State University is part of the Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering. This program offers various degrees and concentrations, providing students with a comprehensive education in aviation and technology.

BS in Engineering Technology

The BS in Engineering Technology (BSET) degree provides two concentrations:

  • Computer Network System Management (CNSM): This concentration prepares students with knowledge, skills, and practical experiences in the Internet of Things (IoT), network theory and administration, wireless communication, network security and prevention management, and cybersecurity management.
  • Manufacturing Systems (Mfg Sys): This concentration prepares students with knowledge, skills, and practical experiences in innovative manufacturing processes and management, computer integrated manufacturing, robotics and control systems, and computer aided manufacturing.

Mission

The mission of the BS degree in Engineering Technology is to provide students with opportunities to develop both in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in basic and advanced applied engineering topics, as well as an understanding of the managerial and leadership skills necessary for success in positions in technology management.
