Introduction to the EOP Summer Bridge Program
The EOP Summer Bridge (SB) program is designed to support new first-time, first-year (FTFY) EOP students in their transition from high school to college. This program aims to close the gap between high school and college by providing intentional events and activities that help students develop the necessary competencies and confidence.
Program Description
The Summer Bridge (SB) program is a four-week virtual program for incoming EOP First-time, First-Year students. The program features live webinars, mentoring, and community building to support the transition of new students. As a condition of their EOP acceptance, new first-time, first-year (FTFY) EOP students are required to participate in weekly online activities and community building during the SB program.
Program Objectives
The EOP Summer Bridge program is designed to help students:
- Develop the competencies and confidence needed to begin their college journeys
- Navigate their college experiences and campus resources
- Build a support network and meaningful relationships with other members of the EOP community
- Practice skills to help them succeed in their college careers
Program Requirements
- New first-time, first-year (FTFY) EOP students are required to participate in the Summer Bridge (SB) program as a condition of their EOP acceptance
- Students must participate in weekly online activities and community building during the SB program
