Bachelor of Nursing with Honours

The Bachelor of Nursing with Honours is a 4-year course designed to provide first-level nurses with the capability to take on responsibilities in clinical nursing at a high level. The program aims to improve the quality of services through continued research and development in the field of nursing.

Program Overview

The course includes in-depth medical care, social sciences, humanities, nursing research, public health and society, and management science. Additional coursework enhances professional development, providing students with a better understanding of cultural, political, economic, and social issues. This enables them to adapt to change, work in interdisciplinary teams, and integrate clinical expertise with knowledge of community resources.

Program Structure

The Bachelor of Nursing with Honours offers a higher credit score in liberal education, focusing on philosophy and theories of nursing, medical sociology, ethics, and medicolegal issues. The program takes a more intensive approach to critical thinking and problem-solving, developing skills in data analysis, communication, patient education, and counseling. The development of communication and leadership skills is also emphasized, along with patient assessment, planning, and evaluation of care, including the development of critical pathways essential in clinical settings.

Campus and Facilities

The campus is located in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, with nearby townships including Bandar Sri Permaisuri. Accommodation options are available, including condominiums, apartments, and landed properties for rent. The International Youth Centre Residence is within walking distance from the campus and offers short-term stay accommodations. Recreational facilities include Taman Tasik Permaisuri for outdoor activities and a public swimming pool. Transportation and Accessibility

The campus is easily accessible via major highways and public transportation, including RapidKL buses, LRT, MRT, and KTM Komuter. The Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, a teaching and tertiary hospital, is located within the campus, along with the Advanced Surgical Skills Centre and the Center of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine.
