Ijazah Doktor Perubatan
The Ijazah Doktor Perubatan program is a comprehensive medical course that encompasses a pre-clinical phase (2 years) consisting of basic medical sciences, followed by junior clinical training (1 year) and subsequent senior clinical training (2 years). Upon completion of the course, students are expected to graduate with proficiency in relevant knowledge and clinical skills, as well as leadership and communication skills to collaborate with other healthcare professionals.
Program Overview
The program also equips graduates with lifelong learning and medical research capabilities through a special research module. The personal and professional development module, which spans 5 years, complements students with humanistic skills, awareness of medical ethics, and a sense of social responsibility. The goal is to produce versatile medical professionals who can serve the community in challenging work environments and are prepared for postgraduate training.

Application Process
- Local Students: Applications for full-time programs for STPM, Matrikulasi, STAM, and Diploma/Equivalent candidates are made through the online application system of the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia.
- International Students: Non-citizen candidates interested in pursuing full-time programs at UKM must submit their applications through the UKM online application system, which opens from February to May each year.

Campus Life
- Location: The campus is located in Bandar Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur, near the urban area of Bandar Sri Permaisuri.
- Accommodation: Condominiums, apartments, and terrace houses are available for rent in both urban areas.
- International Youth Centre Residence: Provides short-term accommodation within walking distance from the campus.
- Sports and Recreation: Taman Tasik Permaisuri (49.4 hectares) is adjacent to the campus, offering space for recreational and sports activities. A public swimming pool and the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium are also nearby.
- Dining: Several cafeterias, coffee shops, and convenience stores are available on campus. For a variety of options, numerous restaurants and shops are located around the campus. Food can also be ordered through delivery services to student residences. The Taman Trak Makanan (Tasik Permaisuri Foodtruck Valley) is within walking distance from the campus for dinner or late-night needs.
- Public Transportation: The campus is easily accessible via major highways and public transportation, including RapidKL buses, LRT, MRT, and KTM Komuter. The integrated modern transportation hub (Terminal Bersepadu Selatan at Bandar Tasik Selatan TBS-BTS), located 5-10 minutes from the campus, provides various travel options to over 150 destinations in Malaysia. TBS-BTS also offers express bus and rail services to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
Learning Environment
- The campus is equipped with two medical libraries: the Clinical Library and the Pre-Clinical Library. Wi-Fi and computers with internet connections are available in the libraries, discussion rooms, and multimedia rooms. Various online resources, such as journals, databases, and software, are subscribed to for student use. Free Wi-Fi is also provided throughout the campus.
- In addition to the teaching hospital, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz, the campus houses the Advanced Surgical Skills Centre (ASSC) and the Centre for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (CTERM) as centers of excellence.
Health and Medical Services
- Services provided under the UKM teaching hospital, Hospital Canselor Tuanku Muhriz (HCTM), and the UKM Children's Hospital (HosTAR) include Poliklinik Warga and Klinik Primer, which are open to UKM students and staff. Additionally, health services can be obtained from Klinik Kesihatan Cheras, Hospital Rehabilitasi Cheras, and private clinics in Bandar Tun Razak and Bandar Sri Permaisuri.
