Program Overview
The Sarjana Sains Pergigian program is a research-based master's degree that aims to develop students' knowledge in the application of dental science. The program also fosters critical analysis and research skills. The clinical specialty program trains students to combine existing knowledge, skills, and experience to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and judgment in a specific field. The program also sharpens students' decision-making skills based on clinical experience and research.

Admission Requirements
Local Students
To apply for the master's program, students must have:
- A bachelor's degree with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a university or institution recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
- A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from a university or institution recognized by the Senate
- Other qualifications recognized by the Senate, obtained through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APPT)
- Fulfillment of other requirements set by the program (if applicable)
- Fulfillment of MQA requirements
International Students
To apply for the master's program, students must have:
- A bachelor's degree with a good Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) from a university or institution recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA)
- A Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from a university or institution recognized by the Senate

English Proficiency Requirements
- International candidates must fulfill English proficiency requirements, such as:
- Obtaining a TOEFL (550), IELTS (6), or MUET (4) score that meets the minimum score or band required by the program
- Sitting for the English Proficiency Test (EPT) and, if failed, taking the English Proficiency Module (EPM) within a maximum of two semesters before being allowed to register for the program
- The faculty/institute may exempt international candidates from the English proficiency requirements if they:
- Will write their thesis/dissertation in Malay/Arabic
- Have academic qualifications obtained from a local university recognized by the Senate
- Are from a country where English is the official language or have academic qualifications obtained from an institution that uses English as the medium of instruction
