Introduction to the Program

The Physiotherapy program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) offers a comprehensive education in physiotherapy, aiming to produce skilled physiotherapists who can provide optimal care to individuals and communities. The program focuses on enhancing, maintaining, or restoring physical function and movement, addressing conditions affected by aging, injury, and disease.

Program Accreditation

The program is accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) with the code MQA/SWA 13996.

Admission Requirements

To be eligible for the program, candidates must meet specific requirements, including:

• For Matrikulasi KPM/Asasi leavers: a minimum PNGK of 3.00 and a minimum grade of B- (NGMP 2.67) in Biology and Mathematics.
• For STPM leavers: a minimum grade of B- in Physics or a minimum grade of B in SPM Physics.
• For international students: a minimum Band 3.0 in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) or equivalent.
• Candidates must also pass an interview and/or assessment set by the faculty.

Tuition Fees

The tuition fees for the program are as follows:

• For Malaysian citizens: RM 2,390.00 for the first semester and RM 1,190.00 for subsequent semesters, with a total minimum fee of RM 10,720 for eight semesters.
• For Malaysian citizens under the UKMi program: RM 2,000.00 registration fee, RM 10,400.00 tuition fee, and RM 8,600.00 per semester, with a total minimum fee of RM 72,600 for eight semesters.
• For international students: RM 2,520.00 registration fee, RM 12,400.00 tuition fee, and RM 11,800.00 per semester, with a total minimum fee of RM 97,520 for eight semesters.
