Program Overview
Gempita Program at Puteri Bongsu Palace
The Gempita Istana Puteri Bongsu Program is an initiative by Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) through the Institut Alam dan Tamadun Melayu (ATMA) to celebrate Malay cultural heritage through integration with education, research, and innovation.
Objectives
The program aims to strengthen the visibility of Malay heritage in the digital era by showcasing various activities based on research, education, culture, and community service.

- The use of artificial intelligence (AI) and augmented reality (AR) to preserve heritage values.
- The main activities include:
- Tree Planting Project in collaboration with strategic partners such as Jabatan Muzium Malaysia, British Council, and Majlis Perbandaran Kajang.
- Interactive Exhibition of Kelingkan and Wayang kulit (Interactive Exhibition of Kelingkan and Wayang kulit) showcasing the beauty of traditional textiles and performance arts.
- A ceremony to sign a letter of intent (LOI) between ATMA and Politeknik Metro Kuala Lumpur (PMKL), opening opportunities for researchers and ATMA officers to co-supervise PMKL student projects.
