Course Synopsis
The objective of this course is to provide knowledge in the care of older adults to improve their independent skills. The course will be delivered through lectures, practical sessions, field works, and visits. Assessments of the course will be done through continuous examination, practical examination, assignment, and presentation.

- Apply theoretical knowledge related to the ageing and rehabilitation in the assessment and management of the elderly.

Entry Requirement
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or an equivalent related field, recognized by the university senate. The degree must be a professional degree that qualifies the candidate to work in their respective fields. The professional degree that specialized in the subject including a Bachelor's Degree related to health, social, and other sciences.
Malaysian Candidates
Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in the field of Health Sciences, Social Sciences, or equivalent related field, recognized by the university senate, and obtain an English language certificate; IELTS (5.5)/TOEFL (550) or equivalent.

- When will the classes be conducted? The classes will be conducted on weekdays starting from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and classes will also be conducted on Saturdays starting from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

- Is this course claimable under HRD Corp? Yes, this course is claimable under HRD Corp (Human Resource Development Corporation, formerly HRDF), provided that your employer is registered and contributing to HRD Corp.
- Who is eligible to claim?
Eligibility:
- Employees of organisations that are HRD Corp registered and actively contributing.
- The claim must be applied through the employer, not the individual participant.
- The employer must have an active account in the HRD Corp system (eTRIS).
- How is the process?
Process:
- Before the course begins – The employer applies for the training grant via the HRD Corp portal (eTRIS). Application must be submitted before the course commencement date. Required documents for grant application:
- Course proposal / programme outline
- Detailed training schedule (with training method specified)
- Course quotation (Sebutharga kursus)
- Trainer's profile / CV
- Supporting documents requested by HRD Corp (e.g., sample certificate of participation, accreditation letter, approval memo, etc.)
- During the course – Employees can attend the course without having to pay upfront, as the employer covers the course fees.
- After the course is completed – The employer submits the following documents for reimbursement from HRD Corp:
- Attendance list
- Final invoice
- HRD TEE (Training Effectiveness Evaluation) form completed by participants
- Any other supporting documents requested by HRD Corp
