The Postgraduate Diploma in Administration of Judiciary and Islamic Legal Practice is a research-oriented program aimed at producing graduates who are knowledgeable and skilled in Islamic judiciary and legal fields.
Program Overview
The program is designed to produce graduates with good morals, excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate, and professionalism. It also aims to produce critical, creative, and innovative thinkers capable of solving contemporary issues and making sound decisions.
Intakes and Duration
The program has two intakes: Mac and September. The duration of the program is 1 year, divided into 2 semesters.
Study Mode and Campus
The program is offered in a coursework mode and is based at the UKM Bangi campus.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
The program has four CLOs:
- Graduates who are knowledgeable and skilled in Islamic judiciary and legal fields, capable of applying this knowledge in their lives.
- Graduates with good morals, excellent communication skills, the ability to collaborate, and professionalism.
- Graduates who are critical, creative, and innovative thinkers capable of solving contemporary issues and making sound decisions.
- Graduates with a global mindset who can explore entrepreneurship and industries related to Islamic judiciary and legal fields.
Entry Requirements
The entry requirements for the program are:
- Graduates of Bachelor's Degree in Shariah; or
- Bachelor's Degree in Law from recognized universities; or
- Other equivalent qualifications recognized by the Senate; and
- Fulfill any additional requirements set by the Program (if applicable).
Applicant Categories and Admission Requirements
The admission requirements for different categories of applicants are:
- Local Graduates: Minimum CGPA of 2.50
- International Graduates (using CGPA): Minimum CGPA of 3.00
- Other Graduates:
- Jayyid or Maqbul (60%) for Malaysian & Southeast Asian students.
- 65% for Middle Eastern students.
- Graduates from Morocco (Malaysian students): Minimum of 50% (10/20)

- PPPK5313: Methodology of Fiqh Texts
- PPPK5453: Islamic Family Law in Malaysia
- PPPK5443: Syariah Criminal Law in Malaysia
Semester II
- PPPK5223: Administration of Property in Syariah Courts
- PPPK5133: Criminal Procedure in Syariah Courts
- PPPK5233: Civil Procedure in Syariah Courts
- PPPK5123: Law of Evidence in Syariah Courts
- PPPK5423: Harmonization of Syariah and Civil Law in Malaysia
Semester III
- PPPK5463: Moot Court and Placement in Syariah Courts
