Program Overview


Master of Microelectronics Engineering

The Master of Microelectronics Engineering is a specialized program in the field of microelectronics for postgraduate studies. The program includes a variety of advanced courses related to the field of microelectronics and nanoelectronics. The courses offered are in line with the latest development in the knowledge domain that meet the needs of the microelectronic industry. These courses are constantly improved so that they remain relevant to the latest development in science and technology. Entry Requirement

The entry requirements for the program are:


  1. A Bachelor of Engineering degree with honours (CGPA 2.75 and above) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university.
  2. CGPA 2.50 – 2.74 with at least 1 year working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants.
  3. CGPA 2.0 – 2.49 with at least 3 years working experience in engineering field after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants.
  4. A Bachelor of Science degree with honours (minimum CGPA 3.50) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university.
  5. A bachelor science degree with honours (CGPA 3.49 and below) from The National University of Malaysia or its equivalent from any other recognized university with at least 3 years working experience in engineering or related fields after obtaining the degree for Malaysian applicants.
  6. Minimum age of 30 years old at the date of the application.
  7. Pass Diploma in related field or other qualification equivalent to it recognised by the Malaysian Government and approved by the University's Senate.
  8. Other equivalent qualification.
  9. Certificate of MQA APEL with MQF Level 7.

English Language Requirement

For international candidates, the requirements for English Language are:


  • Minimum 550 (TOEFL) or 5.5 (IELTS).
