Program Overview

The HEARTSAVER (HS) Heartsaver CPR AED is a classroom-based, video-led, instructor-led course that teaches adult CPR, AED use, and choking relief. This course utilizes the American Heart Association's (AHA) research-proven practice-while-watching technique, allowing students to mimic accurate skills performed on the DVD while instructors provide feedback and guide skill learning.

Course Options

The Heartsaver Course offers three options:

• HeartsaverŽ CPR AED: features hands-on adult CPR AED training and includes optional modules on child CPR AED and infant CPR.
• HeartsaverŽ First Aid: provides first responders with training in basic first-aid procedures.
• HeartsaverŽ First Aid CPR AED: combines basic first aid with CPR AED training.

Course Structure

The instructor-led training features a modular format, creating course flexibility ideal for learners who prefer group interaction and feedback from an instructor while learning skills. The course includes a student workbook for reference during and after the course.
