Program Overview


Advanced Diploma in Midwifery

The Advanced Diploma in Midwifery is a specially designed course for Registered Nurses who have a Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor of Nursing. At the end of the course, graduates can work safely in various aspects of obstetrics, gynecology, and neonatology.


Course Description

The content of the curriculum covers six aspects: Women's Health, Community Care focused on Family and Culture, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and Neonatology. The curriculum approach integrates engineering and medical science concerned with the latest and emotional needs of women, family, and newborn. The curriculum also focuses on preventive aspects, identifies early problems, educates women/mothers and their families, and provides progressive care from pregnancy through to the beginning of the family.


Course Structure

The curriculum is run full-time for one academic year or two semesters using a modular approach. The course structure includes:
