General Requirements

To be eligible for the Doctor of Public Health program, applicants must meet the following requirements:


  1. Bachelor Degree in Medical Doctor from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) or other universities recognized by the Senate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
  2. Degree in Master of Public Health / Community Health / Community Medicine or Master in Community Health Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) or other universities recognized by the Senate of Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).
  3. Registered with the Malaysian Medical Council (for Malaysian students).
  4. International candidates must also submit proof of proficiency in spoken and written English, with eligible scores including:
  • IELTS Band 6.5
  • MUET Band 5.0
  • TOEFL iBT 79
  • Person Test of English 63
  • Cambridge English Qualifications and Test 176 (with proof) taken within the last two years prior to application.
  1. A letter or proof of financial support must be attached. All International and self-financed applicants must produce an accepted written proof of financial status.

Fees

Fees are categorized into Local Student and International or Private Student.


About the Faculty

The Faculty of Medicine UKM was established in 1974 and commenced with 44 students for the 1973/74 admissions session.
