Program Overview

Family Nurse Practitioner Program

The Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) track prepares graduates to care for individuals and families across the lifespan with a focus on primary care in outpatient settings. There is a strong emphasis on health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, and illness management. The clinical component provides interdisciplinary experiences working with other healthcare providers in caring for individuals and their families.

Program Overview

• Minimum Semester Credit Hours: 41
• Completion Time Limit: 5 calendar years
• Students may choose to add an optional emergency concentration to the FNP track, which prepares graduates to provide care in an emergency department/center.
