The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program is a rewarding career path for those interested in caring for others. The program is designed to meet the educational and career goals of students, with two options available: the Pacesetter Accelerated BSN and the RN to BSN.
Program Options
- Pacesetter Accelerated BSN: This program is designed for students who have completed their prerequisites at other institutions.
- RN to BSN: This program is designed for registered nurses who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
Admission Requirements
To apply to the BSN program, students must gather their application materials and ensure they meet the admission requirements. The requirements include:
- Completing all prerequisites
- Taking the HESI A2 entrance exam or the TEAS exam (for Pacesetter Accelerated BSN applicants who completed prerequisites at other institutions)
- Using the correct Department ID for the HESI A2 Entrance exam or selecting Cizik School of Nursing: TEAS for the TEAS exam
- Ensuring all application materials are received by the deadline
Testing Requirements
The testing requirements for the program are as follows:
- Pacesetter Accelerated BSN applicants who completed prerequisites at other institutions must take either the HESI A2 entrance exam or the TEAS exam.
- The tests are not required for:
- RN to BSN students
- Students who successfully completed all science prerequisites offered through Cizik School of Nursing's Pre-Nursing pathway and meet requirements to apply for direct admission to the Pacesetter Accelerated BSN program.
Residency Requirements
Students admitted to Cizik School of Nursing must personally reside in the state of Texas before the first day of class. Additionally, the school is unable to sponsor students requiring F-1 visas.
