BSN Program

The BSN program has two exciting opportunities that lead to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree: the Pacesetter BSN and the RN to BSN programs.

• Pacesetter BSN graduates are prepared to take the licensure examination (NCLEX) for registered nurses.
• Graduates of the RN to BSN program gain a higher level of nursing knowledge in evidence-based practice, critical thinking, leadership, and nursing expertise.

Upon successful completion of the baccalaureate program in nursing, graduates should be able to:

1. Knowledge and Scholarship: Use evidence-based practice in the delivery of nursing care through application of theories, models, and nursing scholarship to improve health and transform health care.
2. Health Care Delivery: Provide person-centered nursing care using a systematic approach to meet health care needs for individuals, families, populations, and communities in diverse settings with coordination of resources across the healthcare delivery continuum.
3. Quality, Safety, and Technology: Apply quality and safety science and health care technology to manage and improve the delivery of safe, high-quality, and efficient health care services.
4. Interprofessional Practice: Develop team communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills to promote, improve, or maintain optimum health for patients, families, and communities.
5. Professionalism and Leadership: Develop professional and leadership values and skills to support ongoing personal and professional development.
