Program Overview

The Geriatrics program is a required third-year clerkship rotation designed to enable medical students to practice effectively in a clinical setting.


Program Description

The program allows students to actively participate in the ongoing, daily care of older and/or palliative patients. Students are paired with a geriatric or palliative preceptor who provides clinical teaching and feedback.


Interprofessional Team Approach

Throughout the clerkship, students work with a variety of geriatric and/or palliative focused health professionals as part of the interprofessional team approach.
