Program Overview
The Master of Science in Anesthesia program is the first such degree program for a Texas state institution and the 21st MSA program in the nation. Upon completion of the program and certification exam, graduates will be recognized as Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants and will work under the direction of anesthesiologists to implement anesthesia care plans.

The program introduces students to the practice of anesthesia and the operating room early on in their training, facilitated by the guidance and support of UT CAAs and attending anesthesiologists.
