Launching! To Adulthood Program
The Launching! To Adulthood program is designed to help autistic young adults reach their full potential while supporting their parents.
Program Description
The program is a 12-week therapy program based on evidence-based therapies, including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and motivational interviewing. It is specifically designed for young adults (18-25 years old) with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) without an intellectual disability and their parents.
Program Components
The program works separately with parents and young adults with ASD to help them transition to adulthood using three distinct but vital components:
- Weekly (60-minutes) virtual group therapy for young adults
- Weekly (60-minutes) virtual group therapy for parents
- Individual, "coaching" sessions (30-minutes, weekly for 10 weeks) with young adults Parents and young adults also receive family therapy sessions.
Language Availability
The therapy program is offered in English and Spanish.

The program is located at the Louis A. Faillace, MD, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at McGovern Medical School, in the Behavioral and Biomedical Sciences Building (BBSB), 1941 East Road, Houston, Texas 77054.
