Fast Facts

• The UTMB SBB program, under the auspices of the UTMB Blood Bank, was one of the first SBB schools in existence with the first graduates in 1955.
• In 1999, the first SBB distance education program was initiated by UTMB. The program was converted to a totally online program in 2003.
• The program moved to the School of Health Professions in 2004.
