Physician assistants are licensed to practice medicine and provide various healthcare services, including:

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of physician assistants is projected to grow by 37% from 2016 to 2026. A 2015 American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) study found that more than 96% of physician assistants would recommend their career to others.
