The Major Teaching Field of Psychology is a program designed for students seeking an endorsement in psychology. To complete this program, students must fulfill the requirements for the B.A. degree with a major in Psychology, General Emphasis.

Program Requirements

• Complete the requirements for the B.A. degree with a major in Psychology, General Emphasis
• Complete C&I 428
• Gain admission to Teacher Education and Student Teaching
• Meet the requirements for certification as a secondary teacher

Additional Recommendations

• Students are advised that the demand for teaching courses in this field is limited in Montana high schools.
• Students should complete a required second endorsement (major or minor) in a field other than Drama, Economics, Geography, Journalism, or Sociology.
