Program Overview
Skaggs School of Pharmacy
The Skaggs School of Pharmacy offers various programs for prospective students, including the Pre-Pharmacy Program, GrizRx Assurance Program, Ph.D. and M.S. Graduate Programs, and Pharm.D. Program.
Pre-Pharmacy Program
The Pre-Pharmacy Program is designed for high school graduates who fulfill the requirements for admission to the University of Montana. Specific high school courses are not required, but a good background is recommended in:
- Mathematics
- Chemistry
- Biology
- Physics
- English
- Communication skills
Admission Requirements
High School Students
A high school graduate who fulfills the requirements for admission to the University of Montana may be admitted as a freshman with a pre-pharmacy major.
Freshmen and Sophomores
The courses required in the freshman and sophomore years (pre-professional curriculum) may be taken at any accredited college or university.
Transfer Students
Students from any accredited college or university or from other programs at the University of Montana may transfer into the pre-professional program at the beginning of any term during their freshman or sophomore years.
Program Details
All students who have satisfactorily completed the pre-professional requirements and wish to enter the professional program must apply for admission to the professional program through the School of Pharmacy.
