Graduate Business
The Master of Accounting (MAcc) program at William & Mary provides students with exceptional academic programs, comparatively low tuition and fees, and a compelling return on investment.
Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid
Tuition
The cost of the MAcc program includes tuition and mandatory fees. The tuition and fees for the program are as follows:
- In-state:
- Tuition: $31,411
- Mandatory Fees: $7,483
- Total: $38,894
- Out-of-state:
- Tuition: $42,380
- Mandatory Fees: $8,053
- Total: $50,433
Annual increases in tuition and fees are announced each May by the W&M Board of Visitors and take effect in August.
International candidates should also account for a one-time expense of $165 for the New International Student Fee and an additional $85 per semester for the International Student Service Fee.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
The program offers various scholarships and financial aid opportunities, including:
- Integrated Winter Field Experience: an eight-week paid internship opportunity from January to March, where students can earn up to $10,000-$12,000.
- Graduate Assistantship (GA): entering students are eligible to apply for a graduate assistantship, which offers an excellent opportunity to work with faculty and staff at the Raymond A. Mason School of Business.
- Merit Scholarship: awarded based on a variety of characteristics such as professional work experience, leadership, academic history, and more.
Alumni Referral Program
The Alumni Referral Program allows William & Mary alumni to refer interested students to the Master of Accounting program. Referred students who apply and are accepted will receive a $5,000 Alumni Referral Scholarship. The program details are as follows:
- Students who are referred and apply will receive a $5,000 Alumni Referral Scholarship upon acceptance.
- Participating alumni can refer up to three students per academic term (spring and fall).
- Accepted students can only receive one scholarship per year, regardless of the number of referrals they receive.
- A student cannot receive a referral by a close family member (parent, grandparent, or sibling) or a faculty member who teaches in the William & Mary MAcc program.
Financial Aid
The program offers several opportunities for students to offset costs associated with the MAcc degree program. Loan eligibility for U.S. Citizens and Permanent Residents is determined by the information provided on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). International applicants can investigate private loan programs in their home countries as well as in the U.S. William & Mary's Office of Financial Aid has information available on its website for private loans for international students who have access to a qualified co-signer.
