Master of Emergency Management
The Master of Emergency Management includes the following awards: Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management, Graduate Diploma of Emergency Management, and Master of Emergency Management.

The normal course duration for the Master of Emergency Management is:

The normal course duration for the Graduate Diploma of Emergency Management is:
- Full-time: 1.0 years (2.0 sessions)
- Part-time: 2.0 years (4.0 sessions)
The normal course duration for the Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management is:
- Full-time: 0.5 years (1.0 sessions)
- Part-time: 1.0 years (2.0 sessions)
Admission Criteria
Applicants who wish to be considered for admission to the Master of Emergency Management must satisfy the following criteria:
- Successful completion of a three-year degree in emergency management, risk management, or an allied discipline area
- At least five years of experience in an industry related to this field of study
- Evidence of continuing professional education and development
- Evidence of emergency management role and responsibilities within their industry, organisation, or community
Credit
No special credit arrangements apply to the Master of Emergency Management, Graduate Diploma of Emergency Management, or Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management. However, each credit application will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Articulation
The Master, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses, with credit given in each higher-level course for subjects completed in the lower-level courses.
Graduation Requirement
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete the following points:
- Master of Emergency Management: 96 points
- Graduate Diploma of Emergency Management: 64 points
- Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management: 32 points
