Master of Islamic Studies
The Master of Islamic Studies is a postgraduate program that includes the following awards: Master of Islamic Studies (MIslStud). The program is available online through the United Theological College.

- Part-time: 4.0 years (8.0 sessions)
Admission Criteria
Applicants for the Master of Islamic Studies must meet the following requirements:
- A completed Bachelor's Degree (or AQF equivalent)
- English Language Proficiency: Standard English Language Proficiency (ELP) requirements
Credit and Articulation
- Students who have successfully completed the Graduate Certificate in Islamic Studies or the Graduate Diploma of Islamic Studies or equivalent will be awarded credit into the Master of Islamic Studies.
- The Master, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses, and credit is given in each higher-level course for the subjects completed in the lower level.
Graduation Requirement
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 128 points.
Course Structure
Subjects have a value of 8 points unless otherwise stated. The program requires students to complete:
- Four core subjects (32 points)
- Four 8-point restricted electives (32 points)
- Four 16-point restricted electives (64 points)
