Admission Criteria
Applicants are admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Applied Statistics based on the CSU Admission Policy. Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience.
Credit
The CSU Credit Policy applies to this course. No special credit arrangements are available.
Graduation Requirement
To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.

The course consists of two core subjects and two restricted electives.

- STA508 Experimental Design and Analysis (PG)
Restricted Electives
Students must choose two of the following:

- MTH309 Principles of Operations Research
- STA427 Advanced Statistical Modelling
- STA448 Multivariate Statistical Analysis
- SPA407 Applied Geostatistics
- MKT563 Big Data and Marketing Analytics
- JST495 Intelligence and Analytics
- ITC516 Data Mining and Analytics
- Any other Level 400 or 500 Statistics subject with the approval of the Course Coordinator
Enrolment Pattern
Due to the flexibility of the course requirements, there is no prescribed enrolment pattern. Students may choose the order in which they undertake subjects, but are advised to complete core subjects first as these are assumed knowledge for a number of the elective choices.

- STA448 is offered in session 2 in alternate years commencing 2012
