Graduate Diploma of Terrorism and Security Studies

The Graduate Diploma of Terrorism and Security Studies is a postgraduate program that offers students a comprehensive understanding of terrorism and security studies.


Course Structure

The Graduate Diploma in Terrorism and Security Studies requires the completion of 64 credit points. Students must complete:


  • At least one 16-point subject from:
    • GPM417 The History of Terrorism (16 points)
    • GPM418 Contemporary Terrorism (16 points)
    • GPM508 Radicalisation (16 points)
    • GPM514 Counter Terrorism (16 points)
  • And at least two 8-point subjects from:
    • GPM510 Terrorism in Cyberspace (8 points)
    • GPM426 Terrorist Financing and Resourcing (8 points)
    • GPM513 Illicit Network Analysis (8 points)
  • Electives from AGSPS and across CSU

Articulation and Credit

The Master, Graduate Diploma, and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses, with credit given in each higher-level course for subjects completed in the lower-level courses. Credit is also available for students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Terrorism, Safety, and Security (GPM417 and GPM418).
