Introduction to the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching and Leadership
The Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching and Leadership is a jointly offered program by Charles Sturt University and the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership. This course combines academic study with industry-accredited coaching training, providing students with knowledge and skills in coaching and leading high-performing, dynamic organisations.
Program Overview
The program is structured to help graduates develop reflective and critical judgement, problem-solving, cultural competence, ethical decision-making, and effective communication and facilitation skills. The Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership component of the course provides Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) certification and eligibility to apply for International Coach Federation (ICF) credentials.

Admission Criteria
- Applicants without a tertiary qualification may be admitted to the Graduate Certificate in Organisational Coaching and Leadership on the basis of professional attainment and/or work experience.
Credit and Articulation
- Upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate, students will be eligible for admission to the Graduate Diploma of Organisational Coaching and Leadership and receive credit for applicable subjects.
- The Graduate Diploma and Graduate Certificate make up an articulated set of courses, with credit given in each higher-level course for subjects completed in the lower-level course.
Graduation Requirements
- To graduate, students must satisfactorily complete 32 points.
Course Structure
- The course consists of four (4) subjects, two of which are granted as credit on the basis of completed subjects at the Institute of Executive Coaching and Leadership Australia (IECL).

- MGT594 Leadership and Business Ethics
- XXX51C Level 5 Unspecified Credit (credit only; based on completion of IECL Organisational Coaching Theory to Practice 1 subject)
