The GER102 Gerontology Theory and Research program is designed to provide an introduction to selected concepts and theories from biology, sociology, and psychology that have been applied to the study of ageing.

Program Details

The program aims to provide an overview of research in gerontology and offers experiential learning in formulating a research proposal. The relevance to practice of a sound grounding in theoretical knowledge in gerontology and the multi-disciplinary nature of that knowledge are discussed.
