Description
This subject allows theatre-makers to develop their skills in integrated performance and production roles in traditional theatre settings. They plan and undertake specific roles within performances devised by multiple cohorts of students. Strategies for researching, developing and reflecting upon theme-specific performance and production initiatives are examined.

This subject is available to students who are enrolled in the Bachelor of Theatre Media course and the Bachelor of Communication (Theatre Media) course. This subject is not available to students who have completed subject THM208.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should:

- be able to evaluate, analyse and facilitate theatre-making processes and theory

Syllabus
This subject will cover the following topics:
- Collaboration in creative practice
- Understanding production roles and processes
- Auto-ethnographic reflective practice and portfolio development
- The role of technology in theatre
- Basic principles of audience development and engagement
Special Resources
This subject requires access to the authentic learning spaces available through the School of Communication and Creative Industries at Bathurst campus. These include the Ponton Theatre and the production building 1454.
