EEB503 Education Professionals for the Future

Overview

Students will be required to complete a digital portfolio that will include a substantial reflection on their studies of theory, scholarship, and professional practice within the Master of Education. Students will apply course knowledge and skills for possible future decision-making as an education professional to progress and develop across their chosen educational contexts.

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:


  • Consideration of the position and relevance of the professional educator
  • Critical assessment of the connections between the theories and learning experienced in the MEd and education in practice
  • Review of the skills, competencies, and perspectives developed through study in the MEd
  • Critical reflection on the integration, connections, and synthesis in learning experienced in the MEd
  • Critical reflection on contemporary planning and decision-making as an education professional
  • Exchange of views and concepts with fellow students from "like" and "unlike" educational backgrounds
  • Completion of a comprehensive e-Portfolio of the critical reflections, self-assessment, and other learning experienced through the MEd
