Program Overview

The Master of Ministry course includes a guided research subject, MIN501 Guided Research in Ministry, which is undertaken on an approved topic in a chosen field of professional ministry. Students are expected to demonstrate the use of appropriate research methodology, critical reflection, and written and oral communication skills through the preparation and presentation of a substantial research paper.

Upon successful completion of this subject, students should be able to:

Syllabus

This subject will cover the following topics:


  • Development of a research question - the student, in consultation with the lecturer, will develop an appropriate research question in a chosen field of professional ministry
  • Guided reading, interpretation and analysis of texts
  • Ethics approval as appropriate
  • Regular communication between the student and the supervisor during the preparation of the paper.
