Syllabus
This subject will cover the following topics:
- Making the case for Evidence-Based Practice
- Critically appraising knowledge for clinical decision-making
- Critically appraising quantitative evidence
- Critically appraising qualitative evidence
- Patient concerns, choices, and clinical judgement in EBP
- Using EBP guidelines: Tool for Improving Practice
- Generating evidence through outcomes management
- Creating Vision: motivating students to EBP for individuals and organisations
- AGREE-II (Appraisal of Guideline for Research & Evaluation)
Availability
This subject is available in Session 2, with 60 students on campus at the Bathurst and Port Macquarie campuses, and online at the Bathurst campus. Continuing students should consult the Subject Availability List (SAL) for current offering details.
