Program Overview
EPI104 Timber Technology: Workshop & Design
This subject provides students with the opportunity to develop introductory workshop knowledge and skills and safety procedures in the use of timber as a material for the secondary school context. An emphasis on design as it relates to Industrial Technology timber projects is also an important part of the subject.
Subject Overview
Students will consider how these skills and concepts relate to technology teaching in the secondary school, and the Industrial Technology Timber curriculum. They will engage in school timber workshop projects and receive advice and demonstration of teachers' practice including issues related to Work Health and Safety (WHS) in the TAS teaching environment.
