University Program Information
The University of North Carolina at Greensboro offers a range of programs through its School of Health and Human Sciences.
Kinesiology Program
The Kinesiology program is designed for students who have demonstrated superior ability and a high level of motivation and dedication to research and learning.
Combined M.S./Ph.D. Program
The Combined M.S./Ph.D. program is expected to span approximately five years. Students are expected to meet the requirements of the M.S. degree following the first two years and may elect to complete six hours of integrative/research-related activity to receive this degree should they choose not to complete the requirements of the Ph.D.
To be eligible for consideration for admittance into the M.S./Ph.D. program, students must complete a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution by the enrollment date, have evidence of prior research experience, and have the endorsement of the faculty member they plan to study with at UNCG.
Concentrations
Students can choose from the following concentrations:
- Applied Neuromechanics
- Exercise Physiology
- Curriculum and Pedagogy Studies in Physical Education
- Sport and Exercise Psychology
- Motor Behavior
Graduate Assistantships
The department offers a number of graduate assistantships and opportunities to gain practical experience, both paid and unpaid.
Plan of Study
Each student progresses through their degrees based on their individual plan of study. A plan of study must be approved by four committee members chosen by the student and their advisor.
Undergraduate Programs
