Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro's (UNCG) School of Nursing offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree with multiple entry options. All options require a foundation in basic sciences and humanities. BSN graduates are prepared to function independently and collaboratively within the healthcare system to deliver evidence-based nursing care to individuals, families, groups, and communities.


Innovative Options to Earn Your Bachelor of Science in Nursing

UNCG provides several pathways to earn a BSN, including:


  • Prelicensure BSN
  • Flexible 100% online RN to BSN
  • Innovative Veteran's Access Program (VAP) for military-affiliated students Beginning Fall 2025, UNCG introduced the UNC System's first Direct Admission program for the Prelicensure BSN degree for eligible first-year students.

Admission to the Nursing Major

Students in the Prelicensure program apply to the School of Nursing in their sophomore year for admission to the Nursing major. RN to BSN and VAP students apply through a University process.
