MS in Retail Studies Program Overview

The MS in Retail Studies program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the retail industry, including its complexities and challenges. The program aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and expertise necessary to succeed in the retail sector.


Application Requirements

Applications are considered complete and will be reviewed by the program committee for an admission decision once all of the following documents are received:


  • Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) from an accredited institution
    • For U.S. degrees, one official transcript from all previous academic institutions
    • For international degrees, a course-by-course evaluation from a National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES) service, showing proof of U.S. bachelor's degree equivalency, credit hours, and GPA
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Personal statement
  • Resume
  • Online application and $65 fee
  • Evidence of English language proficiency (for non-native English speakers)
  • GRE scores are not required, however, students may include test scores as part of their application

Application Deadlines

  • Fall Semester: March 1 (Priority Deadline), June 15 (Final Deadline)
  • Spring Semester: October 15 (Priority Deadline), November 15 (Final Deadline) Early application (at least one month in advance) is strongly encouraged for international applicants.

Admission Criteria

Applications submitted and completed by the priority deadline will receive:


  1. Priority consideration for scholarship and financial aid opportunities
  2. Advanced access to graduate program advising and course selection
  3. An invitation to the Meet & Greet for Admitted Students
