Program Overview


Program Overview

The Post Graduate Certificates program is designed to build on certification for specialized nurse practitioner roles. Clinical placements are provided across Massachusetts for all certificate programs, offering flexible coursework with in-person clinical practicums and online advanced theory. The program includes NP tracks for current NPs to gain certification in Acute Care, Primary Care, or Psychiatric Mental Health.


Program Objectives

At the completion of this program, graduates will be able to:


  • Assess, intervene, and evaluate individual's, families' or groups' responses to various states of health/illness by applying the competencies of advanced practice NP in the specialty area of focus.
  • Apply care delivery approaches that are holistic, evidenced-based and grounded in the ethical principles of the nursing discipline to promote safe, timely, and equitable care.
  • Participate in the interprofessional community and population focused programs that prevent illness and promote health through education, risk reduction and advocacy.

Admission Criteria

Applications must be submitted by the deadline date to be considered for admission. The application deadlines are as follows:


  • Priority Admission Deadline: 2/1/26
  • Application Deadline: 5/3/26 Applications completed after the Priority deadline will be considered based on seat availability, up until this final admission deadline.
