Medical Student Sub-internship
The Medical Student Sub-internship program is designed to provide fourth-year medical students with a firsthand experience in neurological surgery. The program includes:
- Exposure to all facets of the neurological surgery service, including spine, cerebrovascular, functional, tumor, pediatric, and peripheral nerve.
- Rounds in the ICUs and on the wards with the residents in the morning.
- Preparation for and participation in cases in the operating room.
- Participation in seeing inpatient consults and attending faculty clinics and teaching conferences.
- Taking call with the residents, with observation of resident work hour restrictions.
- Presentation of a brief presentation on a neurosurgical topic of their choice.
Sub-internships
