Program Overview
The Army ROTC General Scholarship is a scholarship program designed for college freshmen, sophomores, or incoming juniors who are currently enrolled or accepted to UNLV. Graduate students, including those pursuing master's and doctorate degrees, may also receive this scholarship benefit for a period of two years.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, students who are soldiers in the U.S. Army Reserve or National Guard must receive a conditional release from their component. This requirement is specific to these groups of students.
Scholarship Benefits
The scholarship provides the following benefits:
- Full tuition plus mandatory fees or up to $5,000 per semester, with the cadet electing which option at the beginning of the school year
- This flexibility allows recipients to choose the payment structure that best suits their needs
- A $1,200 per year book allowance
- A tax-free monthly stipend of $420
- Eligibility to compete for active duty
