Program Overview


Undergraduate Degree in Marketing

The Degree in Marketing at the University of Alicante is designed to train qualified professionals in Marketing and Market Research with solid values and ethical principles. Its main objective is to provide students with theoretical and practical training that will enable them to successfully undertake market analysis, as well as the design, development, and control of marketing strategies in companies and institutions.

General Description of the Course Programme

The basic training block of 60 credits, the block of compulsory subjects of 138 credits, and 36 credits of optional subjects must be taken. Prior to the evaluation of the Final Degree Project, students must accredit competences in a foreign language, with a minimum level of B1 of the European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages.

Optional subjects are scheduled in the first and second semester of the fourth year, and students must pass a total of 36 credits. Some of the optional subjects include:

Distinctive Features

The degree in Marketing is eminently practical, complementing theoretical classes with others in which student participation is fundamental to their training. The use of individual and group work supports the explanations of the theoretical classes and allows students to deepen their understanding.


Resources and Facilities

The Faculty of Economics and Business Studies has facilities in several buildings on campus, including the Faculty of Economics and Business Studies building, the Germ嫕 Bern塶er building, and the Social Sciences building. The Faculty has a total of six seminars, the Vicens Vives room, and the Ernest Lluch room, all of which are used for teaching, research, and meetings.


Library

The Economics Library has a surface area of 1,500 m2, 300 reading posts, 8 computerized posts, 86,702 monographs, and 97 paper journal subscriptions. The library also has access to a total of 189,521 electronic books, 66,328 titles of subscribed electronic journals, and 163 databases.


Further Education

Once students have passed the bachelor's degree, they can continue their studies at the master's degree level. The University of Alicante offers master's degrees in all branches of knowledge.
