Program Overview
Undergraduate Degree in Marketing
The Undergraduate Degree in Marketing is designed for individuals interested in the commercial function, marketing, and market research. This program is suitable for those with a basic training in Social Sciences and a good level of mathematics.
Admission Profile
A Marketing graduate should possess analytical, reflective, and critical skills, a willingness to work in a team, social skills for communication, and a creative spirit. No specific prior knowledge is required, but it is desirable for prospective students to have user-level computer skills.
Undergraduate Pathways
To be admitted to this program, students must meet one of the following requirements:
- Spanish Baccalaureate University Entrance Exam (PAU): Although students can access the university through any Baccalaureate specialization, the recommended ones for this degree are Science or Humanities and Social Sciences.
- Previous Baccalaureates with or without a pass in the University Entrance Exam (PAU): Students who have completed their Baccalaureate under previous education systems and have passed the PAU will be able to use the mark obtained in their application.
- Vocational Education: Vocational educational qualifications such as senior technician, senior technician of plastic arts and design, or senior technician in sports are preferred, although access to this degree may be through any professional field.
- Students from education systems in countries of the European Union or other states with which Spain has an international agreement: Accreditation is required and issued by the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia (UNED).
- Students from foreign education systems: Prior to applying for the validation of their foreign Baccalaureate, students may sit for up to 6 exams in subjects offered by the Pruebas de Competencias Específicas (PCE) organised by the UNED.
- Other: University degrees and other similar qualifications, university entrance exam for students over 25, access on the basis of professional experience, and access to applicants aged 45 years or more by means of an exam.
Admission Marks by Academic Year
The admission marks for this degree vary by academic year. The pass marks indicated correspond to the results of the first adjudication of June, and the definitive marks can be inferior to those collected.
Admission Procedure
To apply for a place, students must abide by the procedure and deadlines established every academic year. Those admitted must formalize their enrollment within the terms established annually in the enrollment calendar.
Credit Recognition and Transfer
The University of Alicante Regulations on Credit Recognition and Transfer in Official Studies is currently in the process of adaptation to Royal Decree 822/2021 of 28 September. Credit recognition and transfer are subject to specific criteria, including the adjustment of knowledge and skills acquired by the student.
Transfer of Record for Undergraduate Continuation of Studies
The transfer of record for undergraduate continuation of studies must be done once the student has been admitted to the degree program. Transfer is not carried out if the student is admitted from a foreign university.
